Plumtree House is situated in the rural village of Brigsteer approximately 3 miles from the nearest town of Kendal in the Lake District, Cumbria. (approx 15 minutes drive from Junction 36 of the M6).
Directions & How to find usLeave the M6 motorway at junction 36 and follow the A591 heading towards Kendal. After a couple of miles turn left onto the A590 heading towards Barrow, following this road for about 6 miles. Turn right from the A590 at the sign for Levens and Brigsteer. Go through the village of Levens and follow the sign for Brigsteer. Follow this road through the forest for 2 miles and as you enter Brigsteer Plumtree House is the first house on the right. On Arriving at Plumtree House please park to the left of the property in front of the double garage. For those travelling by public transport, Kendal is the nearest bus/train station. From there you can take a taxi through to Brigsteer. We are only 3 miles from Kendal so the journey should not be too expensive. Access Statement for Plumtree House Bed and Breakfast
The access is at the front of the house through the metal garden gate and there are five steps to the front door. Inside there is a lounge/dining room to the left and then ten steps to the half landing and a further five steps to the bedrooms. There are no bedrooms on the ground floor. Bedroom 1 has an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath. The other two bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms with walk in showers. The nearest railway station is Oxenholme Station which is about four miles away and Kendal Station which is about three miles.
